Contacts are connections between your wallet agent and another agent, such as another wallet or a service. Contacts are created by exchanging DIDComm messages with the other agent. You can then use the contact to send and receive messages with the other agent.

To create a contact, you can start by either sending an invitation to the other agent or accept an invitation from the other agent. In order to protect future security of the connection, the invitations are often sent "out of band", meaning via an independent channel, such as via email, text message, or by exchanging and scanning a QR Code.

Extending an Invitation

1. From the menu, select Contacts, then press the Add button.
2. Provide the name of the contact.
3. Select the radio button for Create Invitation. (Alternately, if you know the other agent supports PRISM Connect, select that option.)
4. Press the Create button.
5. On the Contacts page, select the contact you just created, and:
   1. share the QR code with the other party, and/or
   2. share the peer-did string with the other party.

Accepting an Invitation

1. From the menu, select Contacts, then press the Add button.
2. Enter the name of the contact.
3. Select one of the following options:
   1. Accept invitation via QR code. Scan the QR code provided.
   2. Accept invitation via string shared. Enter the peer-did string provided.
